Loose and Draped Dress Silhouette

One of the most perfect summer 2019 fashion trends is the draped dress silhouette.

Simple designs, with a loose draped feel make perfect sense for warm weather days (and nights).

These barely there dresses feel and look luxurious, but they are comfortable, feather-light and can be perfect;y dressed down for day or elevated with jewelry and heels for an evening out or a special event.

The key to mastering the trend is really effortless!

Look for dresses that drape simply over the body (nothing too tight or structured) and have a nostalgic feel or vintage-esc print. Anything that feels like it’s from a fabulous vacay gone by.  It should just gently graze the body, feel billowy and be so comfortable that you could mistake it for a nightgown.

Belt your draped dress to give it shape or “let it be” loose and free.  This oh-so-versatile silhouette will totally bend to your mood and personal style.

It is by far one of the most wearable trends of summer 2019

Macrame All Day

Macrame Fashion trend

Macrame is hot.

Yeah I said it, macrame is hot and not in a ’70s owl plant hanger kind of way but in a fresh new modern way.

The ’70s-era knot-tying craft is back in full force manifesting itself in home decor, art installations, runways AND even as one of the biggest wedding trends this season.

With the resurgence of all things seventies and boho for Spring/Summer 2017, of course, this woven boho textile has securely fastened itself as the must-have of the season.

Designers from A to Z are getting knotty with soft, boho-inspired, tied-knot details in every permutation imaginable, from perfectly polished, cosmopolitan-looking dresses, to boho beach pullover’s and easy road-trip worthy separates.

If macrame bikinis or peek-a-boo dresses aren’t quite your style, ease into the trend with a fringey macrame clutch or try a pair of macrame embellished sandals or sneakers to add just the right touch of texture to any outfit.

The key to making this trend feel fresh and not costume-y is all about keeping the rest of the look modern. Skip the bell bottoms and flare jeans. Opt instead for sleek, minimalist sandals and a pair of classic jeans.  Look for pieces that have macrame details- like the Rachel Zoe blouse I’m wearing- rather than getting knotty from head to toe.
