If you read as many fashion articles as I do no doubt you have heard countless celebs, trendsetters and designers tout the importance of the LWS. One of my favorite quotes come from Carolina Herrera in an article in the New York Times:

“I have been wearing a white blouse all my life.” ”It’s like my security blanket — take a white blouse and mix it with something. When I went to school it was a blouse with a Peter Pan collar. I remember for dressage that all my shirts and blouses were very fresh and crispy. They are classic with a modern twist and they are very feminine, for a real woman. No woman should ever go without this one simple piece of clothing. Wear it to the office with trousers, tucked into a leather skirt for some model-off duty edge or unbutton the top one or two buttons and throw it on with your favorite jeans for a crisp effortless look.

For Fall 2015 designers embraced this classic staple piece and gave it new life in the form of Victorian frilled collars at Altuzarra, waiter-inspired bow ties at Chanel, ruffled sleeves at Michael Kors, flirty sheer pieces at Oscar De La Renta and romantic billowing sleeves at Rodarte.

I love the way that light washed denim looks with a white blouse. There is something so chic about it. So I paired my fab new score with this drool worthy circle hem silhouette LWS from Anthropologie.

I wanted this look to have all day comfort (from meetings to lunch to pulling for a shoot to more meetings and cocktails) so the shoes were crucial. I am NOT one of those gals who can go around in stilettos all day. I am way too active and my feet can’t take it.

One of my favorite ways to “cheat” a heel are little booties with chunky mid heels. Quirky, cute and always a conversation starter they add personality to your look and comfort to your feet!
