Make no mistake blush pink (aka millennial pink) has secured the top spot when it comes to color choices this Spring/Summer and it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
In fact Blush Pink/Millennial Pink has made it’s way into the “new neutral” category.
It’s undeniably hot, but to be honest, pinks really aren’t my thing.
I’m more of a blacker than black clothing kind of gal, seriously you should see my LBD collection.
If you are like me and this color trend has you feeling a little desaturated, a bit heartbroken about missing out on one of the season’s biggest trends, and a little color-curious, don’t fear, I’ve got the 411 on how you can rock blush pink even if it’s not your jam!
The key is to pair this ultra-feminine shade with a shade that’s a little more in your wheelhouse, like black or denim….. or black. LOL.
To give the look even more of a boost go for texture. Experiment with lace, chiffon or suede pieces (summer suede is huge this year) which will create depth and help it not feel so “Barbie skin” color on you.
Want to go bolder? Find a blush-colored dress or blouse with embellishments such as a neck-tie or beading.
You don’t have to blush from head-to-toe to get a piece of this trend. Try using the shade as an accent color or dabble in blush accessories like loafers, heels or a bag.
How will you incorporate Blush Pink into your Spring/Summer 2017 Look?

With your skin tone and, especially, hair color, I think you look MARVELOUS in blush pink. I appreciate your tip about going for texture. That makes it look more sophisticated. You’re gorgeous. PS: Now I’m craving cotton candy!!!
LOL I’m always craving cotton candy until I actually eat in then I’m craving broccoli! LOL
The blush pink and black go really well together!
It creates a really nice balance.
I’m totally “a blacker than black clothing kind of gal” myself but I can definitely can rock a blush-colored dress or blouse!
Its all about the pairing!
I’m obsessed with your blouse!
Thank you! They still have them at Off fifth at Premium Outlets!
I love the colour pink but never feel I can wear it (until now)! Good idea to pair the pinks with another colour – your outfit looks fantastic! Also, love your beaut hair! 😉
Totally give it a try Justine- the darker shade will anchor it and you will feel so much more comfy in it!
I’m not a pink girl either! But I do love the really soft blush (a shade off from nude basically ????) that is trending right now! That shirt you are wearing is one of my favorites you’ve featured.
Thanks Jeanette! Give it a try! It would look great on you!
Me tooo, I’m more of a blacker than black clothing wearer too lol. I usually tend to stay away from blush pink, I dunno why but I just never thought it complemented my skin tone. I recently purchases a blush pink sweater tho online, and I’m hoping it will change my mind haha. Love this outfit on your btw!
Thanks Candace!
Blush pink is totally my jam! It’s my one true loveeee. But the tips are nice to know and to share! Thanks!
