Dry Shampoo Fix for Sweaty Feet

Dry Shampoo fix for Sweaty Feet

As the weather warms up we will soon be trading our booties and boots in for sandals, peep toes and sling backs and with that comes a problem most of us face, sweaty slippery feet.

I remember one time at a summer event here in Vegas, wearing peep toe heels (of course it was like a gazillion degrees) and my feet were so sweaty they started slowly sliding forward until all of my toes were jockeying for position trying to escape out of that one tiny little peep hole in the front of my shoe! There I was trying to look cool, sipping my cocktail while down below it was like a pain filled scene from Titanic, mass evacuation.

Since then I have discovered a sweaty foot’s BFF, which just so happens to be dirty hair’s BFF (it’s ok they can share) Dry Shampoo!

Most dry shampoos are made with some sort of starch to soak up oil, makes sense right?  It absorbs the oil from your scalp leaving your hair fresh and clean extending that blowout a few more days, well it works the same way absorbing oil/sweat from your feet.

The fix is ridiculously easy.  Just spray the bottoms of your feet with dry shampoo before you put your heels/shoes on.  It work great on any shoes you are wearing sockless- heels, ballet flats and sandals.

I opt for spray/aerosol dry shampoos that dry clear with zero powdery residue for this fix because who want’s chalky feet lol.

Dry shampoo will also help with those smelly sneakers!  Spray the inside with dry shampoo. Let the formula absorb for a few hours then brush off any residue, and your kicks will be coming up roses—well, almost.

You can also apply a shot of dry shampoo to your palms and rub them together to nix sweaty hands and you can spray a quick blast in between thighs to prevent perspiration and rubbing! Really!  It totally works!

    1. LOL a little spritz after each wear will help keep them fresh. Don’t know if it will recover something that is super far gone lol.
