Even though we are neck deep in winter it’s time to start thinking about seasonal transition pieces- wardrobe pieces that you can wear now and into Spring.
The best way to dip your toes into Spring is to slowly start incorporating some key-trends into your look now. It will make the seasonal transition easier plus you’ll be 1/2 way through your Spring shopping before the season even begins!
Fashion Week gave us a glimpse into the trends we’ll be wearing this coming Spring and floral dresses are a key trend for SS18
I have a secret to share, a sure fire trick to making an easy transition from winter to spring…..cropped sweaters.
A cropped sweater PLUS a flouncy Spring dress is in-between season MAGIC!
A cozy cropped sweater makes a warm weather dress work for the cooler season – just add ankle boots and tights or nylons. In a couple months when the weather starts warming up ditch the sweater, tights and boots and add a sneaker, sandals or heels to Springify the look.
It’s an effortlessly hip take on layering that will help you transition stylishly into spring PLUS with all the manic weather we’ve been having you’ll be prepared for warmer days.
Stylist’s NOTE: The sweater and dress I am wearing are sold as a set but you can achieve this look easily with separates.

Oh, great idea! I think another tip is to add bright colors to the outfit. Winter colors are often subdued. Adding colors will definitely add some flair, I think. Just my 2 cents but I really do not know much about fashion.
I totally agree a pop of color really helps change the mood of an outfit.
Umm, this sweater looks great on you. And a neat idea, we should definitely start our shopping for spring right away.
Thank you!
I love how all of these pieces look. They are so cute!

Thanks Courtney!
Cropped sweaters scare me usually but you have pulled his off beautifully and I think I could give them a go with this sort of styling as a skirt will skim all the bits a cropped top exposes which end up scaring me. You look really great 🙂
Lets be honest- I’m not wearing a crop sweater without something under it LOL but they make great layering pieces!
I love this idea! I am so ready for spring weather and I am for sure rockin the sweaters and skirts!! So cute girlie
Thanks babe!
That is such a pretty dress! The whole outfit, including the sweater, looks absolutely awesome on you! 🙂 I love how black can blend into almost any other in fashion.
Thats what I love about it to.. and it not crazy Spring floral… the black helps anchor it.
I love how you styled this, mixing the patterns. Great look!
Thanks Crystal!

That skirt if perfect! Spring is sneaking in on us! A great time to keep pieces that transition easily
Right.. trying to ease my way into it!
I like the bright pattern on the skirt but also the fact that this outfit is versatile – it can be worn to meet customers and for a quick drink with friends after work, or even to the mall. Nice clutch.
Thank you! It really is very versatile!
I love the bright colors mixed with black. You look gorgeous!

Awe thank you so much!
That is such a cute dress, Christie! I think it would make for a perfect Winter >> Spring transition for sure! With winter weather disappearing quickly where I live, it’s nice to have outfits that go from one season to the other smoothly 😉
Right! Here too… it’s 70 degrees one minute then 40 the next!
Omg that skirt is so gorgeous! I love florals!! ????????????
Thanks babe!
What a cute floral skirt, and really cool sweater to pair it with as well. The black sweater makes the colors of the skirt pop even more.

Thanks Jessica!
I love this outfit! I’ve been wearing some of my favorite dresses with sweaters in those in between kind of seasons and I love it but not all of them look right. Perhaps I need to go with my more cropped/shorter sweaters!
Cropped helps the sweater not overwhelm the dress! Give it a try!
This dress looks so good on you! I have been eyeing it for a couple weeks.
It’s super comfy too you would love it!
